Emma Katinia Brumenschenkel (MFT-A)

Hey there, I’m Emma.

I believe in every person’s fundamental right to pleasure and love, and our inherent desire for connection, growth, and understanding. Each of us holds the capability to transform both as individuals and in relationships. However, the stories we tell ourselves, shaped by the context of the systems in which we live, often create barriers between us and our authentic selves. When it comes to sex those barriers are often amplified by feelings of shame.

In therapy, we will work together to uncover the values that truly feel in alignment with you, fostering authentic relationships with yourself and with your partner(s). Emotional connection, empathetic understanding, and love have the power to transform, heal, and connect.

In my practice, I primarily employ a systemic combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Narrative Therapy through a Queer Theory lens. During sessions, I also utilize Sex Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is nonjudgmental, authentic, and open, ensuring that you feel affirmed and free from the pressure of expectations as we explore your journey towards connection.

When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying the great outdoors—whether it’s hiking, swimming, paddleboarding, or simply soaking in nature. I also love reading, practicing Pilates, cooking delicious meals, and gardening. These activities keep me balanced and remind me of the simple joys that life has to offer.

If you’re ready to explore new pathways in your relationships or personal growth, I’m here to support you with empathy and insight. Let’s work together to discover the pleasure and connection that can enrich your life.
